Prep Your Canvas

Start with a cleanser to keep the skin supple. Apply two to three pumps of hyaluronic acid serum to plump up the skin to look fresh. Finish the prep with a lightweight moisturizer that hydrates ( PS: if you are trying this look for a day, apply some mattifying sunscreen as well).

Lay the Base

Use an illuminating primer to revive the radiance. Opt for a colour corrector in case of pigmentation. Go for a peach corrector in case of lighter pigmentation or an orange corrector or deeper peach in case of darker pigmentation. Buff some liquid foundation over the skin and cover the corrected areas. Glide a nude or nude-toned blush over your cheeks and eyes and swipe a bronzer on your jawline and cheekbones. This will create a smooth canvas and help your emerald eyeshadow blend seamlessly.

Emerald Eyeshadow

The eyes are fairly simple to achieve. Add a small pencil brush and the deep green eyeshadow on the outer corners to your lower lash line. Now comes the show’s star – the emerald eyeshadow- take emerald green matte eyeshadow and glide it onto our lids. Blend it out with a fluffy brush to create an extended eyeshadow look. Brush on a volume-maximizing mascara to complete the eye makeup.

Lip Color

Scrub your lips for any cracks or dead skin. Outline the edges with darker lip liners and diffuse them. Generously apply a nude lip lacquer for a neutral lip colour to balance the boldness of your emerald eyeshadow.

Here we go:

  • Use face oil, to prep for the skin. I used Neutrogena retinol oil (https:///2b5z4eww)
  • Blend any hyaluronic-induced foundation on moisturized skin.
  • Contour the jawline, hairline and cheekbones with a bronzer for definition.
  • Using a purple eye pencil, outline the desired shape. In this case, start from the inner corners of the eyes, go along the socket and extend outwards till it reaches just below the point where the eyebrows end.
  • Use a bright purple eyeshadow and fill in the area within the liner outline.
  • Dab the ends with your fingers because the edges need to be smoky, not defined.
  • Apply a thick line of kohl along the lower lash line.
  • Swipe mascara ( https://4aa5ytwr) on the upper and lower eyelashes. Trust me this mascara is superb!
  • Skip the lip colour and stick to an excellent hydrating balm. What’s better than Burt’s Bees lip balm?

In this blog post, I’ll guide you through the art of transitioning your outfit from chic and professional to glamorous and party-ready, ensuring you’ll turn heads at any after-hours event.

Let’s get started :

LOOK 1: Day look

Keep your look minimal in the office and neutral lips should do the trick.

  • Even out your skin with foundation. This is a must, especially if you are just touching up your face later.
  • Shade a soft, neutral colour blush into your cheeks.
  • Keep your lips natural with a beige shade or one that matches your lip colour.
  • Use a concealer to eliminate dark circles and shade a neutral colour into your eye socket.
  • Using a liquid eyeliner, draw a line on your upper eyelid from the inner corner to the outer corner.
  • Pull your hair into a low chignon and secure it firmly. If you have bangs, let them fall neatly on your forehead.
  • During the day, keep your hair polished and professional with a sleek updo, a sophisticated bun, or a classic blowout.

LOOK 2: Night look

Glam up your look with silver-hued eyes and a close-to-messy chignon

  • Deepen your cheeks with the same shade adding a hint of colour.
  • Evenly shade a silver-grey eye colour all over your upper eyelid, from your lash line to your brow bone.
  • Add black lash-lengthening mascara or false eyelashes, if you can manage them.
  • Rework your lips in an ice-pink shade of lip colour.
  • Open out your hair, spray with texturing spray and gather into a chignon. You can also pull out strands and weave them back in with U-pins. Use a little texturizing serum to add volume to your fringes. If you have any?
  • Add a pair of statement earrings ( not so heavy ones) to inject instant glamour.
