HAIL KALE

“Eating healthy food fills your body with energy and nutrients. Imagine your cells smiling back at you and saying: “Thank you!”.

Karen Salmansohn

For me health is above everything, like all the good and excellent things you can ever think of, I put health on top of my list. Without good health you are just alive you are not living it to the full.

Once you get to know about the benefits of a healthy body you realize nothing can beat that. So in order to be healthy, we need to focus on nothing else but what we are eating. Ninety percent of our health benefits depend upon what we intake. You know what they say ” you became what you eat”

And yes, I personally believe whatever exercise routine you follow, whether it’s a gym, yoga, or jogging… a major game-changer is always your diet. So it’s always really important to know what actually you are eating and what benefits you will get from it. Among various healthy foods and superfoods, I want to talk about the most nutritious one.

Move on from Spinach, there’s is a new power food that is packed with tons and tons of health benefits. It is none other than Queen of Greens, KALE

BENEFITS

Kale is a leafy vegetable from the cabbage family. According to a nutritionist, one cup of Kale contains:

5g of Fiber

15 percent of calcium

Vit B6 (pyridoxine)

40 percent of magnesium

180 percent of Vit A

200 percent in Vit C

1020 percent of Vit K

Also present in small amount are Vit E and Iron, Zinc, and Folate.

The flavonoids reduce the risk of some cancers, and its antioxidants slow down tissue wear and tear. Due to its low-calorie content and cholesterol-lowering abilities, kale offers excellent cardiovascular support.

Kale is a frilly deep green leaf in a loose, lettuce-like bouquet, it tastes like cabbage, but with a sharper taste than spinach. Always choose firm, crisp leaves with a moist hardy stem and vibrant color. Avoid yellowish kale, it’s too mature. Store unwashed and chilled in an airtight bag for up to 5 days.

HOW TO EAT

Coarsest stems in kale need to be removed before use, but thin stems; can be cooked with the leaves, If you’ve chosen a young kale bunch, you can remove stems ad toss them in a salad with lime juice. The juice will cook the kale in about 15 min while leaving it crisp. In other dishes, Kale tastes best when steamed, braised, or stir-fried. So any green vegetable ever made more sense to you? I don’t think so?

Hoping you enjoy this absolutely nutritious superfood and will take very good care of yourselves.

Thank you so much for reading . Stay Healthy folks!
