HAVE YOU DETOXED YOUR SKIN? WHILE WORKING AT HOME

Healing your tired skin isn’t just about skipping makeup products; its all about following a detox practice.

-sweta

As we spend most of our time indoors, it is the best chance to detox our bodies and facial skin. As most of us still continue to work from home, it’s the right time to do a skin detox. Soothe your skin from the inside out by following a healthy diet, a skin cleansing routine, and an acne care regimen to help the skin shed toxins and maintain its glow. We need to intensely cleanse the deep-seated impurities, the stale particles of makeup, and the dead skin that, obviously is stored in the pores.

Let me share simple home care tips and tricks for an effective facial detox at home:

GET STEAMY

Steam clears up the pores and aids in loosening any build-up of dust for a deeper cleanse. Steaming opens the pores and softens blackheads or whiteheads allowing them to be gently extracted. The mixture of mild steam and water expands the blood vessels and boosts circulation.

EXFOLIATE

As you get older, the skin’s ability to shed dead skin cells begins to degrade, and it leads to dry and patchy skin that cannot receive any sort of nutrient-rich product that is applied to it. So, make sure to apply a mild exfoliant to have your skin shining and bright, even if you’re not going anywhere. The upper layer of your skin can be detoxified with exfoliation, but to enter the deeper layers and serve an intense cleanse hydration and nourishment are of utmost importance. I use Cetaphil gentle Scrub which is an amazing good product for skin routine.

HYDRATE YOUR SKIN

Hydrating and soothing toners cleanse the skin, reduce redness, and hydrate it. Sometimes a cleanser does not remove all the dust and oils from the face, and they can leave a residue. A toner will remove all this leftover dirt and give the face s fresh and refreshed look. It’s essential to use the toner after cleansing and before applying a moisturizer. This easy three-step method is sure to make your skin clean and bright. Clean the face with a mild cleanser to remove the oil from the skin, then use toner to remove the leftover dirt, and then apply moisturizer to hydrate the skin.

MASK UP

Product build-up and anxiety can take a toll on the skin and make it seem dark and dull. It’s necessary to pamper the skin with a detox session and keep it healthy. Clay masks are excellent for this purpose; they bring out dirt, absorb excess oil and unclog the pores. But I used a cucumber hydrating mask from K-beauty for super hydration. Add a mask to your skincare habit and use it two to three times a week for fresh, clear skin.

APPLY SUNSCREEN

The skin can get exposed to UV rays indoors as well. Regular windows can block out UVB rays to some extent, but they can’t tackle skin-damaging UVA rays, continued exposure to which can make the skin more prone to early ageing. So, use sunscreen indoors and reapply it every two to three hours to avoid dry-looking, distressed skin.

Detoxing your skin involves a combination of beneficial practices to restore its natural radiance and health. Whether harnessing the power of steam to open up your pores and promote deep cleansing. The gentle exfoliation that follows helps remove dead skin cells, allowing your skin to breathe freely or treat yourself to a refreshing cucumber mask, known for its soothing properties and ability to rejuvenate tired skin. Shield your newly revitalized skin from harmful sun rays with a layer of sunscreen, preserving its youthful glow and preventing damage. Complete your detox routine with toner and cleanser, working together to remove any remaining impurities and balance your skin’s pH level, leaving it feeling fresh, renewed, and ready to face the day with confidence.

Hoping you guys try at least two to three products to detoxify your skin and achieve hydration effortlessly.
