“I love the confidence that makeup gives me.”
― Tyra Banks

Geometrical patterns are everywhere in fashion, design, and beauty. From graphic lines on clothing to modern interior spaces, these shapes bring a touch of elegance and sophistication to any look. And now, the trend is making its way into the makeup world. If you’re looking to add some excitement to your beauty routine, try experimenting with geometrical pattern makeup.
To get started, you’ll need a few essential tools and products. A fine-tip eyeliner pen is essential for creating precise lines, as I am using a red-coloured eyeliner pencil. It will help me bring my design to life. You can also use liquid eyeliner but remember that it can be trickier to control and may take a little longer to dry.
Start by creating the main shape in the centre of your lid and then build out from there. If you’re working with multiple colours, try to blend them together seamlessly for a cohesive look. As it’s my first trial on geometrically patterned makeup, I used one single colour for the blog.
One of the most popular geometrical patterns in makeup is straight lines, and for the blog, I somehow tried to create a sharp cat eye on the crease by blocking out two parallel lines. To make this look, simply draw from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner to form a sharp cat eye on the crease with a red liner pencil and fill in the space between them with red colour. You can play around with the length of the lines; I elongate the cat eye to match the length of my eyebrow.
How to create this look, let us see here:
- Start with a primer so your makeup lasts longer.

- Use concealer on dark circles and any blemishes.

- Apply a moisturizing foundation for sheer, dewy perfection.

- Blend well and set with pressed powder.

- Apply soft pink blush to the apple of your cheeks for a natural flush. Blend evenly for a natural-looking radiance.

- For the eyes, start by using eye primer over your lids.

- Pick a bright red eyeliner pencil, and apply it on the crease line.

- Take the eyeliner from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner; for a sharp cat eye on the crease. Elongate the cat eye to match the length of your eyebrow.

- Follow by applying mascara on the upper lashes to amplify and define the lashes.

- Brush up the brows and fill as needed to maintain a natural look.

- Follow with translucent lip gloss.

When creating geometrical patterns, keep in mind that symmetry is critical and being a novice in this trend it’s going to take a couple of tries to get the pattern right Whether you’re drawing parallel lines, triangles, hexagons, or diamonds, you’ll want to make sure that both sides of your face are mirror images of each other or at least you can try to be as much closer as you can.

I hope you enjoyed the post, and will definitely give it a try, it’s such a refreshing look in makeup and can easily ditch your typical makeup do’s.
