In this blog post, I am taking you to the most interesting comparison or opinionated nail theory regarding your nails. A million-dollar question is whether you want to keep them painted sophisticatedly or you want to go elegant by doing a French manicure. The debate is endless and so are the discussions. But to each his own, if you ask me I totally go with the time and occasion or probably season to carry one out of the two. But here I am going to compare both of these nail trends which I was eyeing to do for so long.

The difference between the polished and scruffy is in the way you paint your nails. Do try both of these looks this summer.

But before moving so we have to keep a few things in mind :

a) Exfoliate your hands and nails before applying nail polish.

b) Remove all traces of old polish and clean dry your hands.

c) Oil in nails can deter polish from being applied evenly.

d) Using a basecoat strengthens the nail. Some products help even out any imperfections or dips in the mail.

e) Nail polish peels off faster if you don’t dry each coat completely before applying a new coat.

f) If your nails have ridges use a ridge filler.

g) Taking Vit-B supplements regularly helps strengthen nails.

Let’s start with :

PAINTED SOPHISTICATION

Apply a base coat to your nails. let it dry completely.
Dip the brush in the nail polish coat it completely, then wipe the brush on the inside edge of the bottle to remove any excess paint.
Apply with the brush starting from the cuticle edge to the tip in a single sweep, positioning the brush to the center of the nail.
Now apply the next stroke in a similar way to the left of the earlier stroke and then similarly on the right, doing this till you paint the entire nail. Then apply second coat.
Finish it off with clear polish and let it dry completely.

PS: Move the bottle gently in between your palms instead of shaking it vigorously before applying, as it may cause air bubbles.

FRENCH ELEGANCE

Apply a base coat to your nail. Let it dry completely.
Now place a tip guide on your nail that covers the bottom part of your nail and help you get a clear white tip.
Use white polish to paint the tips of your nail in a clean motion, following the curve of your nail or painting straight if you want a sqaure tip. Let it dry.
Now use a sheer or clear pink nail paint and paint over the whole nail from cuticle to to tip, following the instructions as mentioned in the single colour, let it dry and apply a second coat.
Finish off with a coat of clear polish over the entire nail and let it dry completely.

PS: A clear polish gives your nails a proper finish. Applying a clear polish every couple of days will also make your french manicure last longer.

So above are a few steps to do the nail of your own like and kind. If you personally ask me I will definitely keep occasion or season in mind to actually nail this nail look. For painted nails, you can opt for any colour of your choice and for French Manicured nails at home you can buy a kit with everything inside it all you have to do is just follow the instructions.

After a long time, I am posting a comparison post. I opted for something which is extremely prominent in doing makeup and always a question of interest among makeup lovers. So I picked the comparisons between KOHL and LIQUID EYELINER.

Whereas KOHL is soft, mysterious and mesmerizing on the other hand LIQUID EYELINER is bold, defined and edgy.

Let’s find out what makes both absolutely different essentials

Beginning with KOHL

Usually, it’s been noticed a woman who is least interested in makeup will have Kohl Pencil on her. Kohl-lined eyes are stapled for makeup lovers. it has been this way long before beauty brands packaged it and made a makeup must-have. Despite having a striking resemblance to an eye pencil.

Kohl’s crayon-like texture makes for a thick and soft application.
It gives rich, deep colour in just a single stroke making it a great tool for makeup newbies.
Kohl looks great on warm skin tones and dark eyes(pupil).
This is great for night out and gives you mesimerizing eyes in few strokes.
Team it with few generous coats of mascara and mythical eyes will be yours in routine
Kohl makes eyes look magical. Smokey eyes done with Kohl, teamed with mascara and eyeshadow to look simply goregeous and seductive.

Now let’s talk LIQUID EYELINER

Liquid Eyeliner needs a bit of professional hand to do it right, It’s so close to perfect kind of a thing that if you go wrong with it, it will ruin the whole makeup look

With Liquid eyeliner you won’t have to deal with clumps as opposed to Kohl.
They are availabale in differnt colours and textures.
Most of them available in a market are waterproof and smudge proof, which means higher longitivity than Kohl.
Can be applied much more smoothly than Kohl which makes them excellent for doing a sharp winged tipped or cat eye look.
Liquid eyeliner is only doable once you’ve developed steady hand, as it requires precision and practice.
Liquid Eyeliner does not have the softness of Kohl and is ususally never used along with dramatic eyes.
If you prefer the neat, yet dramatic look over the smudgy smokey eye, this one is definetely for you.
Liquid Eyeliners are smudge proof and a great way to get neater and well defined eyes. Besides they are available in so many colours.
It lacks the earthy feel of the Kohl that enhances the palyful glint in the eyes.

So folks there were a few points of comparisons between both makeups essential. Now it’s on you to decide which one you like most and what is your inner feelings is it Mysterious as KOHL or Edgy as LIQUID EYELINER.

Here I am going to put forward a very easy tutorial for you all to get this updated cat-eye version for your next night or day outing with your friends and family or just for that perfect date you are planning for so long.

Tried cat eyes before many times, as this look never goes off the radar. As the year passes by never saw any downfall in the popularity of this eye trend, it seems equally popular since the time it was invented. Just in case you think that feline flicks are having a hard time you are wrong as it got an update. OG always remains my favourite but I don’t mind the update as well and we all should try out this latest prick which is inspired by an edgy version of my fav cat eyes. It needs precision but with the updated version we can play a little bit.

LET’S START WITH:

Cleanse and Moisturise your face, that’s the first thing to do before any makeup or eye look.

Apply a face primer for a flawless base. Use illuminating foundation all over your face and neck. Blend it well with a foundation brush.

Dust your cheeks with warm nude blusher.

Smooth primer over your eyelids and layer a dark black eyeshadow up to the crease. Then swoop a thick line of liquid eyeliner along the top lash line, extending into a thin, sharp tip.

Using a smudging brush, slash a metallic silver/baby blue eyeshadow along the lower eyelids to amp up the look

Wrap up the look by sweeping a generous dose of mascara on your upper eyelashes and some nude-beige creamy lipstick with a little gloss.

TIP TO NAIL IT LIKE PRO:

Use a stencil or credit card at the end of the eyes to get those super sharp rocker chick flick if you really want to keep it sharp at the end.

If you find yourself on the style sidelines thinking, “I could never pull that off,” then it’s time to get a new fashion mantra. I’ve rounded up sage words of wisdom that every fashion wallflower needs. This time again I am going to bust a few of your fashion fears. Knowingly that all my beautiful squad is full of confidence, brave to experiment but there are certain moments, where you are unsure about particular fashion piece. You won’t wear trousers cause you inherited your mother’s hips, you can’t wear boots,, you are too short, can’t put Hat as you think it’s plain silly. Am I looking good with this or it’s a total disaster? Such constant overthinking kills all the fun!!

Another part of FFB is here. So like the previous one, I am going to include three more fashion fears that need to be busted as soon as they can.

In this part, my discussion point will be :

HATS LOOK SILLY ON ME, ITS NOT FOR EVERYONE

So if you are thinking of wearing hats, this crosses your mind most definitely, how effortlessly celebs pull off Sicilian Mafioso style hats on a red carpet. How amazingly Victoria Beckham managed to redefine contemporary British Chic look with her hat at royal events. You are not a singer or any WAG designer on the red carpet to pull the look and moreover, you think hats belong to such people. You might fear you look ridiculous striding into a cafe wearing a fedora. Noooo you will not! You can nail the hat look by finding the correct frame for your hat. No matter what is the shape of your face whether it’s Square, Long/Oval, Heart-shaped, or round.

YOU CAN DO IT AND HOW?

Keep your look casual. Pick a hat that suits your face type and wear it with a t-shirt. jeans or casual jacket, as I combined it with beige cami layered it with a denim shirt and dyed jeans. Try to keep this look absolutely casual to really sport that hat.

Those slinky Palazzo pants look irresistible swishing around celeb’s gorgeous gams, but your high-waisted pants highlight three curves where there ought to be just one. You think high-waisted pants are no friend to those with muffin tops and thunder thighs, but pick the right fabric and silhouette, and you could give any celeb a run for her money lol! while opting for high waist trousers fabric plays a really important role.

YOU CAN DO IT AND HOW?

Choose a flared cut, preferably with detail on the cuffs. Structured fabrics are better than clingy ones. Clingy and loose fabrics never create that silhouette for high waist trousers or pants. If the fabric chosen is not structured then it may spoil the whole look and you will end up looking improper and that will spoil all the fun of wearing such an amazing piece of cloth which we should try with different kinds of tops.

SHEER TOP LOOKS TACKY ON ME

You can’t resist the old-world glamour of pearl-coloured shirts and tops with a shell-like moonshine shimmer, but what on earth are you going to wear under them that won’t give you a tacky look or you feel it’s not going as per your personality and fashion style. Sometimes it’s experimented with a skin-coloured bra or lacy brightly coloured bra, but is that the right thing I am wearing? I hope I am not looking too loud! These kinds of questions usually pop while wearing such an audacious piece of garment.

YOU CAN DO IT AND HOW?

So you can nail it by adding more layers and wearing a fitted pretty corset under a loose sheer top. Or you can opt for a nice slip or camisole to wear inside your sheer top which just amalgamated into it but in a more understatedly sexy way. You can easily opt for different colour cami and slips but make sure they are very well fitted to keep the lookup in place.

So my folks by keeping these few simple tricks in mind you can expedite any garment piece or accessory you wish for, that too ending up like a diva. Do try these Fashion Faux Pas and come out shining like a pearl upon the ocean.

Back with a post that is not at all new to you, you may have heard it before. But I was waiting so long to write about the wardrobe must-haves that each one of us should possess and also how important role they play to create an ideal wardrobe. A good wardrobe should contain certain essentials to ensure you are always well turned out for any occasion. There are a few pieces which in my opinion everyone should have. Let’s begin with these wardrobe must-haves.

BLAZER/JACKET (from ZARA)

A very stylish well-fitted jacket that enhances one’s personality is right up here on my list of wardrobe-essentials. Pure leather, blingy, houndstooth, denim or checkered make one feel chic and comfortable at the same time. It never makes you look over the top because of the cuts and silhouettes, it can highlight your curve and make you voluptuous if you are thin and can add some height, especially long jackets if you are looking for a tall structure. A jacket /blazer will always compliment your outfit.

PRINTED STOLE (from FABINDIA)

It is a simple as any other wardrobe addition, a printed stole whether it a floral print, animal print or just any random print, it can be wrapped around your neck or handbag or can be worn as a bandana will give a statement to your style quotient and your overall look.

SILK SAREE OR SILK SHIRT (from NALLI’S)

Another addition to your wardrobe is a beautiful silk saree( Indian heritage) or a soft silk shirt. So I opted for a saree, nothing conveys the message stronger than a traditional, nine-yard draped around your body. A silk saree whether a Patola, Banarasi, Jamdani or Chanderi, is the perfect attire to flaunt my Indianess at festivals or social do’s. Also, a silk shirt in any shade/hue will do wonders when complementing with a pencil skirt or simply with formal trousers. Silk is a beautiful cloth.

NUDE COLOUR SHOES (from ALDO)

This is a must-have for your wardrobe. It goes almost with everything you wear irrespective of its colour or style. It is the best shade to mute the attention from anything that takes away from the outfit. It looks super chic with short dresses and almost goes with every pattern. You must have at least one pair in your wardrobe.

PERFUME (from HERMES)

Any wardrobe is incomplete without a good perfume to make that clothing live and worthwhile. An amazing fragrance around you brings the whole look to almost perfection. Go for earthy, woody, floral or any fruity fragrance or should have one each from all. A signature perfume is a must for any occasion.

So by having these above few must-haves in your wardrobe can elaborate the wardrobe quotient and brings it to a whole new place, all you have to do is to keep signature or statement pieces for each.

I hope you are already having a few items in your wardrobe, but for the rest, you can go ahead as the holiday season is almost there, no harm in treating yourself with that new pair of shoes or a nice chic blazer or jacket to pamper your inner self.
