Glittery eye accents and warm highlights are definite standouts for any season, especially when we are transforming from one season to another. And taking this to newer heights by trying on earthy tones is a bang-on! My love for earthy tones will never end and also it’s my mantra when I am not planning to go overboard and keep it close to simple. Earthy shades always glam up the whole look by keeping it subtle which other shades or colour palettes rarely do. You can play any which way with these earthy shades as they rarely go wrong and can be experimental any time you want.

Let me decode one such makeup look which includes all earthy shades from head to toe as you can accessorize this look with a proper hairdo and take this to next level.

Like previous tutorials again we have to focus on three major areas to nail this look!

Let me start with:

CHEEKS

Moisturise your skin, I used Aveeno Moisturiser the best suitable for any skin type.

Do a liitle Poreless primer, I used Wet and Wild Primer all over my face.

Apply foundation and dab it evenly. I used Elf Flawless Finish Foundation.

Will use bronzer in the end, not now.

EYES

Choose an ordinary eyliner, I used Nyx Eyeliner make it winged liner to enhance the look.

Well shaped Eyebrows is a bonus feature to add with this.
Glam it up with gold or bronze accents.
This eye makeup involves a warm metallic earthy shade for an eyeshadow as per your skin tone, I used L’oreal Infalliable Eyeshadow.

Swipe up the mascara to amp up the look.

You can slightly play with the eyes by giving hint of metallic dab to inner and outer corners.

LIPS

This look demands something ingenious to go with.
Just a hint of nude gloss lipstick, I used L’oreal Pro Gloss lipstick.

Yes, you are right! not a right time to wear statement lips as we are looking for overall earthy look for a face. So nothing works best then Nudes.

Finally, give a hint of bronzer to the cheeks which belong to an earthy colour palette for finishing!

Not to mention, to augment the whole look I opted for a voluminous top knot with geometrical earrings.

Everything on the face feels so real and natural with a hint of metallic glam but still ethereal and that’s the whole beauty of this makeup do! I hope you guys like it and give it a try for your next night out with family or friends.

Fashion and Beauty choices are never predictable. Sometimes you want to go subtle sometimes bold, sometimes glittery and sometimes natural.

I really heart this berry-hued lip colour makeup tutorial. This winter it’s one of the juiciest colours of the season as they say” Berries for Winters”. This berry shade can be toned down for the day and amp for the night and will work on most skin tones. If you love to try this look as much as I did, here is the tutorial:

Let’s start with

FACE

The first thing you notice about this look is that it calls for a fuss-free base.

Start with a moisturiser

Follow up with a good eye cream. I picked Neutrogena as it suits me a lot.

Dab foundation on forehead, cheeks and chin and evenly blend it in with your finger tips or sponge.

Using a puff apply pressed powder and buff away with big powder brush.

Keep the cheeks bare for optimal look.

EYES

Need to keep the freshness of colours.

I am using shimmery and subdued pink eyeshadow all over the eyelids, starting from brow bone extending to lash line. Blend it well with an eyeshadow blending brush.

Next, take a small eyeliner brush and create winged liner with eyeshadow in purple. It does’t have to be perfect line, you can even smudge the corners out if you like.

Add the finishing touches with two generous coats of a volumising mascara.

LIPS

Depending on how intense you want your lips to look

Define the lips with lipstick brush before filling in the colour.

Apply two coats of your favourite Matte Lipstick in Raspberry Syrup.

If you notice, the makeup on the eyes is quite subtle and has natural undertones allowing the bold lip colour to stand out. I am in love with this matte Raspberry shade lipstick and always love to experiment with my wardrobe and makeup.

Two years back, when the world was not known to Pandemic when people were allowed to sit together, roam together, eat together, or travel together and allowed to do stuff together the world seemed different from what it’s now. One way or the other this impacted people globally. I lost my interest in posting or writing blogs as my mind was not thinking that way.

But thank god the things are getting back to normal again, the lives are getting back to what they were. We accepted to live the way the world changed itself for good or bad, but few things never change, like experimenting with my hairstyle. Though I was inside my home all the time, still I am! But trying new styles, especially my hair.

So during the Pandemic, I experiment with my hair again, and here I come up with another hairdo.

Hair, as we know, is known to be the crown of our whole personality, and we should always put an effort to retain that crown as long as we can. Our hair quality degrades as we grow up. Also, there are various other reasons like using too many chemicals, unhealthy lifestyle, or medical issues anything could affect the quality of your hair and resist you from your dream hairdo or style you are longing for. So, do it before time runs out.

In this post, I am trying one such hairdo which I was longing to do.

This one is High Level, as I named it.

The reason why I love this hairdo so much is.. that it’s so effortless. I usually like a hairstyle that is nonchalant and comes up with the best results. So, this one is topping the list and beautiful too. Also, I want you folks to try this at least once.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1) SMOOTHING SERUM

2) HAIRDRYER

3) PLASTIC BAND

4) BOBBY PINS

5) STYLING MOUSSE

6) STRONG HOLDING SPRAY

Just look at the items to rock this look. Look like it’s all there in your drawer.

HOW TO DO IT

1) Wash your hair with frizz control shampoo and conditioner

2) Apply a smoothening serum and blow-dry your hair straight for a smooth and sleek finish

3) Pull back your hair neatly with a fine-toothed comb and tie a pony at the crow with elastic, leaving a small section of hair at the nape.

4) Coil the section around the elastic to conceal it and secure it with bobby pins.

5) Use a styling mousse and start braiding your hair from the top. Braid it almost till the end and secure with elastic.

6) To keep the look edgy, apply mousse to the limp ends and braids it into tiny stiff plaits. Spritz a generous amount of a strong holding spray.

So do try this once and flaunt yourself and feel good about yourself, after all, that’s all matters!

HAIR WARS: TOP KNOT V/S RETRO PIN UP SAILOR

Life is too short to have Boring Hair…

Hair wars are one of my favourite posts but I rarely do it as tutorial for my blog. It’s really hard to choose from two different and beautiful hairstyles. No trust me! Its really very indurate for me to opt one and that is the reason it took me so long to post something like this.

So here it is, and why not experiment different styles to suit your face type, I always love trying that.

In this post I am trying to create two very different hair do’s one is Top Knot and the other one is Retro Pin Up Sailor.

Let’s get started :

WHAT YOU NEED: Comb// Bobby pins// Hair doughnut//Hair shining serum// dryer//hair spray

TOP KNOT

Top knot also known as Sock not; this hair do is a classic and characterised by hair piled high on the head. It can be messy or perfectly styled. To achieve this look:

Tie your hair into ponytail on the crown of your hair head
Take doughnut and slide it all the way around your ponytail to where it rests.
Fan your hair evenly around doughnut. Swoop hair around the doughnut and pin it underneath. Use bobby pins ^{_{https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_pin}}
If you like bun to be messy or to have unstructured look, you can pull out some strands from the side and tease at the bun to loosen it.

RETRO PIN -UP SAILOR

This is the early pin-up style. With one half of the hair pinned up and the other half left down. It’s the perfect hairdo for retro monic star look in theme parties, halloween or just sailing around. To achieve this look;

Start out by prepping your hair. Add some products to add texture and shine for lustrous look( well I didn’t used any at the time of styling my hair)
Follow it up with simple blow-dry to smoothens the strands. Part the hair in the centre.
Starting from one side, gather the front section from the ear to your parting and smooth it so the hairline is bump free.
Twist several times upwards towards parting.
Secure the hair along the line of the twist with several bobby pins to anchor the twist in place.
Repeat it on other side too.
Use curling tong (optional) or keep them straight(I opt for this). Mist with hair spray to hold the look for long and lustrous look.

No matter whether a Top knot or Retro Pin -up Sailor you choose , both are effortlessly stylish.

CUTE PONYTAIL WAVY VIBES

Try this amazing two-sided wavy ponytail that gives cute yet sultry vibe

Whenever it comes to styling my hair ponytails are always on top of my list. Because with them I can experiment endlessly and that too without going any wrong. This one hairdo related to ponytails. The style I am going to try is one of my favorite and goes with all my plans, whether I am going for any corporate event, a date night, or to a night out with my friends, this one hairdo always rocks!! But here is a twist which I am going to add by adding soft waves to it.

I am going to wear my ponytail with middle parting and lot of soft waves.

So without wasting any more ,lines and time let’s get started:

WHAT DO WE NEED

Volumizing shampoo and Conditioner, texturizing spray, curling iron, hair fixing spray, rubber band(elastic), hold, and shine spray

HOW DO WE DO IT

Start by washing your hair with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner
Apply texturizing spray to towel-dried hair, scrunch and let it dry
Apply Argan oil or some heat protecting spray,( I used Argan oil as it is safe and more natural)
Divide your hair into two sections
Wrap each section of hair around the barrel, leave few. inches at the end
Lightly tease your hair out once you’re done
Part your hair from the middle and secure each side with a rubber band
Take a thin section of hair from the base of your ponytail and wrap it around the band
Finish with strong hold and shine spray

PS: For overnight waves , just divide your hair into sections and set them in braids
