COOL GREEN EDGE

Makeup is Art. Beauty is Spirit

Sweta

When it comes to makeup, experimenting with different colours can be an exciting way to express your creativity and enhance your natural beauty. Green eyeshadow, in particular, has gained popularity in recent years for its versatility and ability to make your eyes pop. Whether you’re attending a special event or simply want to add a touch of glam to your everyday look, mastering the art of rocking green eyeshadow can take your makeup game to new heights. In this article, we will guide you on how to perfect the green eyeshadow look and suggest occasions where it truly shines.

Green eyeshadow is versatile and can be adapted for various occasions. Here are a few instances where you can confidently flaunt your green-eyed masterpiece as for a glamorous night out, green eyeshadow can add a touch of allure to your overall look. Pair it with winged eyeliner and dramatic false lashes for a show-stopping effect. If you’re attending an outdoor wedding or a garden-themed event, green eyeshadow can help you embrace the natural surroundings. Opt for softer shades and blend them with earthy neutrals for an ethereal, whimsical look.

Now, let me share this quick and cool bright-eyes tutorial with all of you. It’s as easy to achieve as my all other makeup dos, but it comes with an added edge.

  • Wash and cleanse your face before serum, I am using Vichy Serum https:///mrxj58aj which keeps my face less dry and flaky and more on the natural side focusing only on my eyes.
  • Use Primer, I used https:///2p8dpnba followed by any BB https:///ea24ruj4or CC cream. Skip the foundation as we are dropping off usual in this to keep other areas subtle but eyes. When wearing dramatic eye makeup, you need to tone down the rest of the look and keep it subtle to allow the eyes to really pop.
  • Just use a highlighter instead, giving you a glow without foundation. Using the highlighter will provide you with a glow without adding colour.
  • I am using Emerald green eyeshadow; https:///3m9rdvsk to turn up the intensity of the bright shadow but before that first-line eyes with a white eye pencil.
  • Smudge over the whole lid. The trick with bright hues is to blend them really well.
  • Define brows with an eyebrow gel.
  • Complete the look with a coat of mascara.
  • Since the eyes are focused here, keep your lips simple with just a dab of nude lipstick or gloss.

There you go! You are now absolutely ready, so ditch the usual fuchsia and oranges for a hue that is statement-making but not over the top. Go for the emerald green to perfectly complement this awesome look.

Green eyeshadow is a fantastic choice for those looking to elevate their makeup game and experiment with vibrant colours. By following the tips mentioned above and customizing the look to suit your skin tone and eye colour, you you can confidently rock the green eyeshadow look on various occasions. So go ahead, embrace the beauty of green, and let your eyes shine!

Dear readers do try this look and send me your feedback.

Hope you have a fun time with your loved ones!

SPARKLE AND SHINE: EMBRACING THE BOLDNESS OF 90S DISCO-INSPIRED MAKEUP

I am happy to sparkle like a glazed disco ball

Paloma Elesser

The 90s was a decade of bold and daring fashion choices, and the makeup looks of the era were no exception. One of the most popular makeup trends of the time was the disco makeup look, characterized by bright colours, glitter, and a whole lot of shine. In this blog post, we’ll take a quick look at the 90s disco makeup look and how you can recreate it today.

  1. Start with a clean and moisturized face

Before you start applying your makeup, it’s important to make sure your face is clean and moisturized. Use a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt or impurities, then apply a moisturizer to hydrate your skin and create a smooth base for your makeup.

  1. Apply a shimmery base

To create the disco makeup look, you’ll need a shimmery base to give your skin a luminous glow. Use a liquid shine-based BB cream for your face to create a dewy, radiant base on your cheekbones, brow bones, and the bridge of your nose (skip foundation).

  1. Add a pop of colour to the eye

The disco makeup look is all about bold, bright colours, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different shades. Use a vibrant eyeshadow palette to create a colourful eye look, with shades like hot pink, electric blue, and glittery gold. I used electric blue matt eyeshadow. Finally, use a tap of shimmery shade or glitter eyeshadow to highlight the hood of your eye and create a bright, open look.

  1. Apply bold kohl and lots of mascara to make the look more partyer. Use eyeliner if you want the more deep look. I kept it optional.

The 90s disco makeup look is all about dramatic eyes, so don’t be afraid to go bold with your eyeliner and mascara. Use a liquid or gel liner to create a thick line along your upper lash line, and to make it more entertaining, apply a few coats of volumizing mascara to your upper and lower lashes, to create a complete, fluttery look. For extra drama, you can also add a pair of false lashes to really make your eyes pop. I don’t need one as I organically have thick lashes.

  1. Finish with bold lips

The disco makeup look wouldn’t be complete without a bold lip colour. Choose a bright shade like hot pink, electric orange, or classic red, and apply it to your lips with a lip brush for a precise, defined look. I used hot pink in a matt shade.

For extra shine, add a layer of clear lip gloss over the top, or use a shimmery lip product to make your lips stand out.

Add some glitter. No disco makeup look is complete without a touch of glitter, so don’t be afraid to add sparkle to your eyes, cheeks, or lips. Use glitter eyeliner to create a bold, glittery wing, or use loose glitter to add sparkle to your cheeks or lips.

6. Curl that hair

Not too much, but just give a soft curl effect to your hair with a curling iron rod to finish this retro disco look from the 90s.

Overall, the 90s disco makeup look is all about having fun and being daring with your makeup choices. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different colours and textures, and remember to always have fun and express yourself through your makeup.

HOW TO NAIL METAL MIX LOOK: Here is a guide to mix metals

I love tie dye, metallic, and anything stands out in terms of fashion. If its fun and unique, I am into it..

Jeffree Star

In this post, I would like to show you how to mix metallic shades to achieve the look you may never try and might give thought to trying out this festive season. Let me show how you can channel this look nonchalantly. Always start with eyeshadow. Metallic eyeshadow is always my preference whether it’s copper, silver, burnt gold or platinum all are mainstays for this awesome look which is absolutely stunning for every occasion. But just one shade doesn’t cut the mustard anymore. We need to try mixing shades.

To start with this look, you have to follow a simple guide to mixing metals:

  1. Sweep any metallic eyeshadow of your choice on your whole eyelid. I chose metallic silver for the post.

2. Smudge a bit of grey eyeshadow along the inner and outer corners of the eye connected to the crease. As you can see in the pictures below.

Since the look is all about metals, don’t forget to add Mascara generously; even better if you choose voluminous Mascara, which goes aptly with metallic shades.

For a chiselled look, contour your cheekbones for definition.

To keep the whole look focused on metallic eyeshadow, apply a muted lip balm that will enhance the natural colour of your lips.

PS: Watch for the cut-off point, some of us have natural double lids, but if you have hooded lids, raise the colour a little higher to make it more dramatic.

Most of us really want to experiment with different dressings, hairstyles and makeup. Going metallic in your dressing or makeup never hurts moreover it brings that thrill or stirs to your whole personality. My purpose for sharing this small little guide on mixing metal is; that you should come out of your regular makeup look and have some fun. Shine a little with this metal mix and enjoy the festive season with your loved ones!!

UPDATING CAT EYES

YOUR EYES ARE PORTAL TO ANOTHER PLACE, FULL OF MAGIC AND MYSTERY

..

Here I am going to put forward a very easy tutorial for you all to get this updated cat-eye version for your next night or day outing with your friends and family or just for that perfect date you are planning for so long.

Tried cat eyes before many times, as this look never goes off the radar. As the year passes by never saw any downfall in the popularity of this eye trend, it seems equally popular since the time it was invented. Just in case you think that feline flicks are having a hard time you are wrong as it got an update. OG always remains my favourite but I don’t mind the update as well and we all should try out this latest prick which is inspired by an edgy version of my fav cat eyes. It needs precision but with the updated version we can play a little bit.

LET’S START WITH:

  • Cleanse and Moisturise your face, that’s the first thing to do before any makeup or eye look.
  • Apply a face primer for a flawless base. Use illuminating foundation all over your face and neck. Blend it well with a foundation brush.
  • Dust your cheeks with warm nude blusher.
  • Smooth primer over your eyelids and layer a dark black eyeshadow up to the crease. Then swoop a thick line of liquid eyeliner along the top lash line, extending into a thin, sharp tip.
  • Using a smudging brush, slash a metallic silver/baby blue eyeshadow along the lower eyelids to amp up the look
  • Wrap up the look by sweeping a generous dose of mascara on your upper eyelashes and some nude-beige creamy lipstick with a little gloss.

TIP TO NAIL IT LIKE PRO:

Use a stencil or credit card at the end of the eyes to get those super sharp rocker chick flick if you really want to keep it sharp at the end.

Thanks for reading and hope y’all going to try this Cat Eye Update look for your next outing.

RASPBERRY RUSH

I BELIEVE ALL THE THE WOMEN ARE PRETTY WITHOUT MAKEUP BUT WITH THE RIGHT MAKEUP PRETTY POWERFUL

BOBBI BROWN

RASPBERRY RUSH

Fashion and Beauty choices are never predictable. Sometimes you want to go subtle sometimes bold, sometimes glittery and sometimes natural.

I really heart this berry-hued lip colour makeup tutorial. This winter it’s one of the juiciest colours of the season as they say” Berries for Winters”. This berry shade can be toned down for the day and amp for the night and will work on most skin tones. If you love to try this look as much as I did, here is the tutorial:

Let’s start with

FACE

The first thing you notice about this look is that it calls for a fuss-free base.

  • Start with a moisturiser
  • Follow up with a good eye cream. I picked Neutrogena as it suits me a lot.
  • Dab foundation on forehead, cheeks and chin and evenly blend it in with your finger tips or sponge.
  • Using a puff apply pressed powder and buff away with big powder brush.
  • Keep the cheeks bare for optimal look.

EYES

Need to keep the freshness of colours.

  • I am using shimmery and subdued pink eyeshadow all over the eyelids, starting from brow bone extending to lash line. Blend it well with an eyeshadow blending brush.
  • Next, take a small eyeliner brush and create winged liner with eyeshadow in purple. It does’t have to be perfect line, you can even smudge the corners out if you like.
  • Add the finishing touches with two generous coats of a volumising mascara.

LIPS

Depending on how intense you want your lips to look

  • Define the lips with lipstick brush before filling in the colour.
  • Apply two coats of your favourite Matte Lipstick in Raspberry Syrup.

If you notice, the makeup on the eyes is quite subtle and has natural undertones allowing the bold lip colour to stand out. I am in love with this matte Raspberry shade lipstick and always love to experiment with my wardrobe and makeup.

Love the makeup so much that I am going to try this out quite a few times, just love the freshness on the face after finishing the look. Do give it a try and drop a comment in the comment box that how you like it!

Thank you so much for reading! You can watch a tutorial of this amazing makeup look on my INSTAGRAM REEL.
