HIGH LEVEL

LET THE HAIR DO THE TALKING!!!

-anonymous

Two years back, when the world was not known to Pandemic when people were allowed to sit together, roam together, eat together, or travel together and allowed to do stuff together the world seemed different from what it’s now. One way or the other this impacted people globally. I lost my interest in posting or writing blogs as my mind was not thinking that way.

But thank god the things are getting back to normal again, the lives are getting back to what they were. We accepted to live the way the world changed itself for good or bad, but few things never change, like experimenting with my hairstyle. Though I was inside my home all the time, still I am!  But trying new styles, especially my hair.

So during the Pandemic, I experiment with my hair again, and here I come up with another hairdo.

Hair, as we know, is known to be the crown of our whole personality, and we should always put an effort to retain that crown as long as we can. Our hair quality degrades as we grow up. Also, there are various other reasons like using too many chemicals, unhealthy lifestyle, or medical issues anything could affect the quality of your hair and resist you from your dream hairdo or style you are longing for. So, do it before time runs out.

In this post, I am trying one such hairdo which I was longing to do.

This one is High Level, as I named it.

The reason why I love this hairdo so much is.. that it’s so effortless. I usually like a hairstyle that is nonchalant and comes up with the best results. So, this one is topping the list and beautiful too. Also, I want you folks to try this at least once.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1) SMOOTHING SERUM

2) HAIRDRYER

3) PLASTIC BAND

4) BOBBY PINS

5) STYLING MOUSSE

6) STRONG HOLDING SPRAY

Just look at the items to rock this look. Look like it’s all there in your drawer.

HOW TO DO IT

1) Wash your hair with frizz control shampoo and conditioner

2) Apply a smoothening serum and blow-dry your hair straight for a smooth and sleek finish

3) Pull back your hair neatly with a fine-toothed comb and tie a pony at the crow with elastic, leaving a small section of hair at the nape.

4) Coil the section around the elastic to conceal it and secure it with bobby pins.

5) Use a styling mousse and start braiding your hair from the top. Braid it almost till the end and secure with elastic.

6) To keep the look edgy, apply mousse to the limp ends and braids it into tiny stiff plaits. Spritz a generous amount of a strong holding spray.

So do try this once and flaunt yourself and feel good about yourself, after all, that’s all matters!

Thank you for reading!

HAPPY STYLING!!!

LET’S BLOCK IT!!!!

COLOUR BLOCKING TWO BOLD SHADES FEEL SO MODERN

Brad Coreski

I always try to keep myself updated with posting blogs but got so much delayed in posting stuff which I suppose to post a month back or so. But anyways I am trying hard to balance this with other things going in my life. As I just shifted to Alberta from Ontario trust me its is a big move. Changing provinces is not an easy job.I will share that too on my upcoming post.

Also I try yo keep my blog post constant and write more and more interesting stuff.

But for now let’s block it!!

Being related to fashion with so many years and having an immense fondness for fashion and beauty and of course working on fashion sets for various fashion houses I experienced various fashion trends, transformations, experiments that created history and not to mention various fashion disasters too.

Fashion is one elaborated platform where one can play with all their imagination with full capacity and intensity.

Today I want to mention one such trend in my post which created history, and that is ….the trend of Colour Blocking.

Colour Blocking is a kind of trend which has many “myths ” out of which, the biggest one is that it is not for everyone. Usually, people like me with petite body type always keep hands-off with this trend. As “they say” it is for tall body types with perfect figures to exhibit the colour blocking perfectly. But trust me there is no such thing as a perfect body type and we all have our own flaws. We should love our body more than anything in this world, I do!! and moreover, colour blocking for shorter height do wonders.

So talking about topic colour blocking is a very exceptional trend in itself. In the fashion world, the process of color-blocking refers to wearing blocks of colours. Traditional colour-blocking consists of putting together two or three different, but complementary colors together in one outfit. But here I am trying this trend by using two different colours outfit and then create a colour blocking trend.

Colour blocking doesn’t mean you have to stick to one item. Match a skirt and top with a loose cotton jumper come night time, or throw on a pair of shorts with a tone-matching top. Fashion is all about expressing yourself through your clothes.

First brought to high fashion by Yves St. Laurent with his Mondrian-inspired a-line dress, color blocking peaked in the 1960s and ’70s when experimentation with clothing was an act of revolution. Since then, the trend has embbeded and flowed in popularity, with various color combinations ranging from pastels to neons.

One of the most important thought behind the colour blocking is the exploration of taking colours that are opposite on the colour wheel and pairing them together to make them interesting and complementary colour combinations. It all started as a trend that originated from the artwork of dutch painter Piet, Mondrian[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piet_Mondrian]

So for my post I am using two extremely different colours. I am taking warm hues of tangerine red and team it up with the fresh spring blues.

This colour clash is really very interesting to wear. So for the post I was sure of tangerine but the other colour I was confused to pick. Then opt for a colour which is not very common to use with bold tangerine so I decided for specific kind of blue which gives a blasting vibe when combined.

As you can see here I combines a red printed neck scarf with off shoulder blue top. What say!!

I hope it turns out to be good. This combo can be wear anytime which instantly ups the mood you are inane gives a super fashion vibe.

The red and blue are the soul of this post. I used all possible items to experiment with both of these amazing colours which are bold in themselves individually and thats the beauty of Colour Blocking.

Ofcourse you can wear both the shades separately but together they are giving an entirely a different feel to capture. As you can see how beautifully I combined my blue crystallise dangles with my red collared top.

So folks do try your hands on this colour blocking trend , go and play with the colour of your choice, no boundaries , no thinking, splash that little of something everywhere !

Do try the colour clocking trend or make colour blocking by using two different clothing or accessory items , experiment a little for yourself and enjoy!

Happy Colourful Blocking!

BEAUTY UNMASKED

The most beautiful face is always the face of the peaceful mind....

Does it ever cross your mind that you can micro-manage your skin concerns with a patchwork of mask for each zone of your face?

I examine the skin on my face and I’m sure most of us find that there are various skin issues like open pores, on cheeks, whiteheads, blackheads, and a dry T zone perhaps, and the discoloration on the forehead and around the mouth. So I was figuring out how is that even possible that one single mask can be used to address all the skin issues.

This is when multi-masking fits in as a one-step solution to take multiple concerns of your facial skin.

WHAT IS MULTI MASK

Applying different types of masks on different zones of our face according to dry and oily areas or to reduce discoloration or tan.

WHY MULTI-MASK

According to dermatologists, the distribution of sweat and oil glands differs from one portion of the face to another, even for the same person. Some people have combination skin like an oily T zone and dry cheeks.

So if they use a drying mask made of fullers’ earth for oil control all over the face the dry areas will go more dry and flaky. Hence it is better to apply a drying mask to the oily areas of the face, while a moisturizing mask works better for the dry areas.

HOW TO SELECT A MASK?

Not sure about the skin type of your face? Identify them by understanding the dry, oil, and sensitive patches. Applying five different masks on your face, almost like a painting. Collage will be worth your time.

WHAT SUITS WHERE?

Let’s find out. I used images to explain it in a better way with an amazing Nordic filter effect.

FOR EYES AREA

Masks with Vit C and K are good for the delicate skin around the eyes. Also, herbal formulations that cucumbers have will help soften fine lines.

FOR CHEEKS

For oily skin, opt for a mask with glycolic or salicylic acid. For dry skin collagen is effective. Also, aloe vera works well for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

FOR T-ZONE

The section on your face over the eyebrows and the nose tend to get very oily. Apply an oil-absorbing mask that has glycolic acid. Alternatively, fullers earth is a great option.

FOR MOUTH AND NECK

Apply brightening formulations around the mouth, up to the neck to even out your skin tone. A coffee and a honey scrub or a combination of cucumber and papaya can be prepared at home.

FOR THE NATURAL GLOW

After applying the various masks, keep them on for 15 min and relax. wash your face, pat dry and finish by applying a moisturizer suitable to your skin type.

Thank you for reading this

Have a happy and glowing skin folks!

Stay Healthy. Keep glowing

ARE YOU PLEASANT OR UNPLEASANT?

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. –

Mahatma Gandhi

This is way more imperative than any other thing in this world to ask yourself this question are you Pleasant or Unpleasant? The answer is nowhere else, it’s within you. You think you go out or look around for this answer! No, the answer is right inside you. The whole world is full of pleasant and unpleasant experiences, it is full of various pleasant and unpleasant things, it is full of pleasant and unpleasant times. I am paraphrasing this pleasant /unpleasant again and again to make sure that by the end of the post you should profoundly understand what I mean and the purpose of this post. Sometimes paraphrasing words like these are not only for your own good also beneficial for others and for those around you. Trust me I am not saying this for writing sake, it’s truly has a perspective.

So here I am asking one simple question to all my avid bloggers and readers who are reading this. Are you pleasant or unpleasant in your life?

And by this I mean that are you living your life pleasantly which means joyfully, happily, enthusiastically, confidently, peacefully, lively or Unpleasantly that means depressingly, anxiously, sadly or unhappiness is crept all the way into your soul, worried, crying on things which are not at all important and not in our control.

People say life is a mix of both, no my friend that is not what my opinion is! What my percept is, are you content in your life irrespective of what is happening around you and most importantly within you? For instance, something that happened you never wanted should have ever happened. Are you at peace within yourself? Or you are roaming with your thoughts here and there keeping yourself at the tumult, restless, and afflictive state. Do you juggle with them daily? And by the end of the day realized that you wasted another day on something which is not in your control and will never be! I know this happens and it happened to all of us we are no exceptions here for anything, more or less everyone has to face the rough times and enjoy their share of happiness. It’s part of our lives. Simple!

Always remember no one is going to ask you this that how you perceive, you have to ask this question to you every single day to make sure your inner being is nurtured, it’s convivial it’s at peace and not perturbed or fidgety it’s going with a flow and not trying to swim opposite current waters because this will lead you in the most exhausting situation, you will be so tired, drained and most importantly at severe unrest which will follow all unpleasantness and then you all don’t have an option to live but many to die.

This life is freakingly beautiful all you have to add lots and lots of alacrity and less and less of adversity and this way you can throw out all the negative thing in your life slowly and steadily. Remember this, if you are feeling uncongenial in your life you are not going to release it at once because it didn’t creep in you at this moment so It will take lots of sweetness to shove it out of your life and make your life bittersweet but most importantly a beautiful experience! and that can only be done when you are a jovial person. So drop the unpalatable from your life try to see good in what’s happening and try to invest your thoughts in more meaningful processes of life.

I wish you all to be Pleasing people and make this world a beautiful place not only for you but for others who are living in it with you. Once pleasantness is all there you will love everything around you, you will see how beautiful everything will become as all the unpleasantness is replaced by pleasantness in the whole process and that gives your life a real meaning to enjoy it not just to exist.

HAIR WARS: TOP KNOT V/S RETRO PIN UP SAILOR

Life is too short to have Boring Hair…

Hair wars are one of my favourite posts but I rarely do it as tutorial for my blog. It’s really hard to choose from two different and beautiful hairstyles. No trust me! Its really very indurate for me to opt one and that is the reason it took me so long to post something like this.

So here it is, and why not experiment different styles to suit your face type, I always love trying that.

In this post I am trying to create two very different hair do’s one is Top Knot and the other one is Retro Pin Up Sailor.

Let’s get started :

WHAT YOU NEED: Comb// Bobby pins// Hair doughnut//Hair shining serum// dryer//hair spray

TOP KNOT

Top knot also known as Sock not; this hair do is a classic and characterised by hair piled high on the head. It can be messy or perfectly styled. To achieve this look:

  1. Tie your hair into ponytail on the crown of your hair head
  2. Take doughnut and slide it all the way around your ponytail to where it rests.
  3. Fan your hair evenly around doughnut. Swoop hair around the doughnut and pin it underneath. Use bobby pins https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_pin
  4. If you like bun to be messy or to have unstructured look, you can pull out some strands from the side and tease at the bun to loosen it.

RETRO PIN -UP SAILOR

This is the early pin-up style. With one half of the hair pinned up and the other half left down. It’s the perfect hairdo for retro monic star look in theme parties, halloween or just sailing around. To achieve this look;

  1. Start out by prepping your hair. Add some products to add texture and shine for lustrous look( well I didn’t used any at the time of styling my hair)
  2. Follow it up with simple blow-dry to smoothens the strands. Part the hair in the centre.
  3. Starting from one side, gather the front section from the ear to your parting and smooth it so the hairline is bump free.
  4. Twist several times upwards towards parting.
  5. Secure the hair along the line of the twist with several bobby pins to anchor the twist in place.
  6. Repeat it on other side too.
  7. Use curling tong (optional) or keep them straight(I opt for this). Mist with hair spray to hold the look for long and lustrous look.

No matter whether a Top knot or Retro Pin -up Sailor you choose , both are effortlessly stylish.

Drop a message for your favourite look and for trying too:)

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy hair styling!!
